I have seen this book months ago. It is in my wish list of books to buy, but I have to see the movie first before buying a copy. A unique love story, a young girl Claire Abshire who meet the love of her life at the age of six years old, and the guy was Henry DeTamble 36 years old but is really eight years older than she is. Henry De Tamble is a time traveler, although not by choice. A certain genetic disease causes him to travel through time, disapperaing from view, leaving behind his clothes and possessions, and arriving naked in another time and another place. He often commits petty crime of stealing clothes from others when he travels and must run from people, thugs or the police. One of the places to which he travels often is the meadow behind Claire's house, and throughout her younger years, Clare meets him there and falls in love with him. All the while Henry knew what will happen in the future but he waited for it to become a reality. Despite of the unusual situation that these two lovers had their love for each other prevailed. Time travel has its advantages as well. Henry sees the past, he had an encounter with his dead mother on a train telling her how much he admired and adored her and how he happy he was to see her. When you see your death coming , you prepare yourself to spend quality time with your family or the people you love, Henry saw his death coming. The movie also depicts parental love, the sacrifices that parents undergo for the sake of their children. If given a chance to time travel I will go back to my childhood days, when my grandparents are still alive and when life is simple and yet happy. I will to reminisce the memorable and unforgetable events in my life or the good old days. We also time travel when we reminisce the past events in our life, whether sad or happy memories captured in the chapters of our lives.
