The Other Side
as i read mother teresa's dark side of life everyone has its own dark side.
its not necessarily the bad side of the person but it is when he feels empty and lost. it's really difficult to follow Christ and carry His cross. nobody is perfect we have our own weaknesses. temptation cannot be avoided. we are like gold tested on fire to become a precious stone. we have to undergo trials and test to attain our goal. we just have to hold on to Him in prayer to be strengthen by his grace and love. i have experienced also dark sides in my life, several times but i never gave up on Him. no matter how hurt i am and angry i still end up with You. i know in my heart that You love me so much, a love than i can't fathom. i'm sorry i have not loved you that much, i always hurt your feelings even if I love you. my love isn't always enough, so many conditions are in it. Your love is constant, doesn't change, your love is unconditional tested by time. You are the light that shines in my life. you are my life.
you are my true joy. you have called me by my name and am special to You. your hug is enough for me. you always manifest your love to me in beautiful things that surround me, be it human and all other living things. you are my guiding light. you are my hope when in despair. you are always there to defend me. you never left me in those trying times in my life. you like it when i'm closer to you, that's why you give something that makes me remind that you are always there.

The Calling

It was our christmas party at the office and at the same time the Thanksgiving Mass of Fr. Jhoen a friend from way back in Singles for Christ. I have to choose which occasion to attend and I chose the mass. It was a dream come true for this young man to serve God full time. After long years of waiting and discerning finally the man is for priesthood. The time when we were at SFC this man is full of wisdom, he is always invited in giving talks. Sometimes we shared our faith encounters. I happened to read his blog while he was studying in Rome. While listening to his homily I was touched by what he said. The joy in his heart cannot be contained. The gist of the homily is the acronym GIFT. G stands for grace, grace that comes from God perhaps in the form of blessings which oftentimes we fail to acknowledge. I stands for Intimacy, how do we become intimate with God, by having a personal relationship with Him through prayer.
F is for family and friends who are always there to guide us along the way. T is for our complete trust in God no matter what. The greatest gift of all is Love. Are we a gift to others?

What Comes Around Goes Around
God is a loving God never a punishing God. What happened to us is the consequence of our actions. We have failed to preserve the environment. It is not an "Act of God" as the insurance policy clause states but it is an Act of Man.Get rid of the "trash in our lives" material, emotional and spiritual trash which we need to dispose of as we go through life. Indeed how light and peaceful life is if we carry no burdens and carry no trash. Detachment is the word. Detachment from materials things which come and go and are not permanent. Learn to value what is essential and important. Life is more important than things. We should help in caring for Mother Earth. God is a forgiving God but nature does not forgive.
Enjoy Life The Healing Concert
Last Saturday I watched the Healing Concert with my friend Joevy at the Arena. It was a spiritually refreshing concert. I am reminded of my SFC days especially the worship part. I like the songs that the singers sang. One song that has a great message is "Love is Greater than the Universe" sang by a cute priest, I think it's his own composition. One song that made me cry was Bridge Over Troubled Water. The singer has a powerful rendition of the song full of emotion. We can very well relate to the song because of the recent storm that has affected us, but despite the storms in our life we managed to rise above the situation. The reason why I attended the concert was for healing of my mother and for other friends who are sick. I thought I will not cry but I cried, as always when I attend healing session. I feel high and my spiritual life was recharged once more, how I wish there was no ending but the concert has to end. After the healing I'm back to the real world but now ready to face whatever may come with God's help.
