Growing Old with Friends
as i grow in age i realize that not all friends stay in your life. you have to let go of them.
although some remains to be there even if you don't often see them. for so many years i haven't seen this friend of mine, he was looking for us since we moved out from our old address. it was by accident that i saw our mutual friend and he was the one who told our friend that we have moved from our old place. it's good that we have given our mobile number, and he was able to contact us last Holy Week. we're glad to see him, a different person from the past who was once a drug user and has no direction in life. now he is earning more than what we are earning and has bought a house and car. he is living in japan with his wife and daughter. he still looks the same. we were recalling the good old days that we had. relationships have also its ups and downs, but what matters most is you learn to forgive and forget. time heals all wounds. real friends are like jewels to be treasured, some come and some go. oftentimes we fail to appreciate friends while they are still there, later on when they are already gone, it is the only time that we realize how important that person is.
